Evening on the Branches
Evening in the Leaves and Evening on the Branches are part of the For the Trees series, a celebration of the cumulative beauty of foliage. Plein is often in awe of the interplay between trees and the sun, and this series explores the diversity of color when the evening sun hits the trees. Experimental markmaking allow Plein to suggest leaves, while playing with visual texture and broken color.

The Mountains of my Mind series is a collection of digital collages exploring the idea of personal journey and investigation. The images originate from a trip to the Patagonia region of Argentina and Chile, in which the rich landscapes put human experience in deep perspective. “Standard”, “Deluxe”, and “Super Deluxe” riff on musical album release strategy that offers fans an iteration of the original piece with new insights.
